I pride myself on providing a personal and bespoke service so I thought I should share a little bit about me.  My name is Caroline and I started Pins & Pleats in January 2019 from my garden workroom in Chiddingfold, Surrey where I live with my husband and two children. I have always loved sewing and was taught the basics of making curtains by my mother and my mother in law, and got the bug! After many personal interior sewing projects for my own home over the years, and  making blinds and curtains for friends, I decided to complete a professional curtain making & roman blind course. From that Pins & Pleats was born.

Almost two years later and I am so proud of how the business has grown. I love working with clients on all projects, big and small, providing advice on their soft furnishing ideas and bringing these ideas to life.  I am a perfectionist, and take great satisfaction in my attention to detail ensuring only the highest quality leaves my workroom and is installed perfectly.

I travel to clients homes across Surrey, West Sussex, Hampshire and South London for in-home consultations, to measure and install and I make all of the soft furnishings in my workroom from the bottom of the garden (made by my husband) - also known as my happy place!

Finally, it's not just sewing needles I am experienced with as I have been a nurse on the Neonatal unit of St.Thomas' hospital in London where I have practised for over 20 years! So you can rest assured I am not squeamish with any needles, big or small!

Caroline was so helpful and so lovely to deal with, she made the whole experience a real pleasure. The quality of work and attention to detail was incredible and is what sets her apart from so many in her field.
