Fabric Spotlight: Meg Morton

Updated: Jan 4, 2021

The first in a series of blog posts where I showcase some of the many amazing fabric brands from the UK. First up is Meg Morton.

I was thrilled when I was sent a sample box recently from Meg Morton showcasing some of her new designs. Meg Morton is a family-run fabric, wallpaper and homeware brand based in beautiful North Dorset. All of her fabrics, wallpapers and luxury homewares are proudly printed and made here in the UK.

The fabrics are a range of beautiful country inspired designs and produced as a linen mix. I had so many favourites from the range.

This dragonfire design is stunning. It comes in various colour ways, here it is shown in white on millstone, and I love that you can get the same colours reversed out as it would work so well for accessories to go with the curtains or roman blinds (as shown here). It's one I have on the top of my pile for a recommendation for a country bedroom scheme.

Meg Morton's large hydrangea linen fabric, shown here in pastel pink on mist, would make a real statement pair of curtains for a bedroom or living room. It's one of her original hand painted designs, and pairs beautifully with their Dorset Stripe in vintage pink on mist for accessories.

You can never go wrong with stripes and as you may have guessed one of my favourite colours is pink. What I particularly love about this design is the bubble design softens the stripes, making it a lovely idea for a little girls nursery.

A lovely design for a country kitchen, this is their vintage style Fontmell pheasant fabric. I would love to make this one into some blinds, with some matching accessories for a beautiful country kitchen.

My list could go on and on! To see more of her designs have a look at www.megmorton.co.uk and I also have a lovely pack of samples that I can show you so do get in touch. It's certainly got me excited about my next country house scheme.
